Areas and examples of use
Mining and agricultural conveyer systems
Natalstit is predominantly used for protection of metal or rubber surfaces against abrasion.
COATING OF CHUTE FEEDER – ZI JIN, BOR
10 mm thick curtain fixed.
Hardox sheet has a 3-month life cycle, the curtain shows no traces of wear after 9 months.
TURBINE COATING – KARIN KOMERC QUARRY
10 mm Natalstit coating.
Before the application of Natalstit, the metal would wear out in a month.
Two months after having it coated with Natalstit, the turbine is still in use.
BELT FEEDER – COPPER ORE
Manganese steel plates would get worn out and after three months require a replacement. 10 mm thick Natalstit was applied.
One year after, the plates were worn by approximately 30%.
COATING OF FLOTATION SYSTEM F200–F1000.
Instead of rubber, a 10 mm Natalstit was fixed.
Tubes installed one year ago are still in service.
COATING OF METAL SILOS – NEW FLOTATION, ZI JIN BOR
Silos coated with a 10 mm Natalstit.
CONVEYER BELTS – KOSTOLAC DRMNO
Coating of 30 mm conveyer belt edges, on both sides of the belt, with a 3 mm thick Natalstit. Formerly, conveyer belts would require replacement 2 to 3 times a year. After being coated with Natalstit, their life cycle reaches minimum 1 year.
CONVEYER BELT RUBBER CLEANERS
Coated with a 10 mm Natalstit and installed in Kostolac. Their life cycle is 2 to 3 times longer than that of rubber cleaners.
COATING OF METAL BASKETS
Coated with a 10 mm Natalstit, applying cold vulcanization.
After this, all areas were sealed using a polyurethane electrode, to prevent penetration of liquids and their contact with the metal.
